Thank you from the Port Chaplain

The Port Chaplain, Rev Peter Paine, is seen receiving DVDs from the Mercury's front counter member, Marian Clarke, in response to his letter in the paper tPETER AND DVDS 002hree weeks ago. Peter told the Mercury that there had been a tremendous response to his appeal and he had received approximately 500 DVDs. On Christmas Day the DVDs and presents were distributed to seamen on the vessels in Great Yarmouth.

The work of the Port Chaplain is a joint venture between “Good Work” (Norfolk and Waveney Industrial Mission) and the Mission to Seafarers an Anglican organisation. On behalf of the Seafarers Revd. Peter Paine would just like to say a very big thank you to all who contributed.
