SAT-7 News and Prayer Letter | March 2008

"Always be prepared to give an answer to anyone who asks for the hope that lies within you, but do it in gentleness and respect." I Peter 3:15

"No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him." John 6:44

These two verses are significant when considering our role in presenting the Gospel. In response to the first verse, can you say why you have hope in Christ? And, can you do so with "gentleness and respect?" This is SAT-7's goal

The second verse describes the process of someone coming to know Christ. God Himself has to draw them. No one can be forced, convinced or argued into God's family. It's very important for people in the Middle East to understand this. Many people who live in the region believe that people who come to have faith in Christ have only done so because they were lured by money, or visas, or some other kind of trickery. That is what they usually mean when they say someone has been "proselytized." In their mind it equals being seduced, brain-washed or deceived. Of course, SAT-7 does not subscribe to this kind of approach

Instead, SAT-7 seeks to help local Christians better understand their own faith so that they can be prepared to "give an answer to anyone" about the hope that lies within them. For non-Christians who are watching, we hope they too will have their questions answered, but it is God alone who draws men and women to Himself. We seek to disciple those who are walking with the Lord, wherever and however they have come to know Him

Thank you for your prayers and support for this ministry, which, through three different channels and a wide variety of programming, is bringing answers to millions of viewers, every day, of every week!

Yours in His service together,

Terry
