As many of you are aware, Borough Wide Churches Forum, Great Yarmouth Industrial Mission, Port Chaplaincy, and Mission to Seafarers are having to move as the premises from which we currently operate have been sold to developers. We can stay until the end of this month, and then we must find alternative accommodation. We have been preparing the Upper Room at Newtown Methodist Church for some time now, have had many quotes for making the room suitable, and are pursuing funding avenues; but……………. (and it’s a big BUT) we now find ourselves in a dilemma. The local Planning Officer has advised of major issues that MUST be addressed before occupation can be considered and, of course, this involves huge expenditure which we simply do not have
As I see it, there are two issues for prayer:
1. Is this the right place? Does our Lord want us to continue down this avenue? If so, then we must pray for the funds to ‘appear’
2. Are we intended to look elsewhere? If so, then we are asking all readers to think about whether they are aware of anywhere suitable for three desks, large photocopier/printer, bookshelves, and other storage space
Please pray these two issues and for our guidance and wisdom, and that we will follow the path that our Lord has intended for us
