A “Body, Mind, Spirit” Outreach Learning Evening takes place on Wednesday September 10 at 7:30pm at Harvest House, The Common, Mulbarton, NR18 8JS

The Divine Exchange Team is made up of Christians from various churches across Norfolk and Suffolk that feel called to serve God and reach out to folk at psychic fairs or New Age “Body, Mind, Spirit” event.

Organiser Rev Jess Stubenbord said: “We would love to encourage churches and individuals to consider getting involved by either booking in a Christian stall or by praying in a more informed way for these local fairs. It is such an exciting opportunity to share the Good News of Jesus as those who attend these fairs are spiritually hungry.”

James, Bishop of Lynn, who chairs the Diocesan Healing Panel, will be present at the evening and further training evenings have been organized for October.

The International Salvation Army Staff Songsters will visit Norwich for a music festival in September. They have established choral standards of excellence during their 27-year history, with a repertoire ranging from contemporary gospel to classical music. Its members are all trained singers, drawn from a cross-section of educational, professional and commercial concerns. The choir has travelled extensively in the UK and undertaken overseas tours in Europe, the Americas, Australia and New Zealand, and South Africa.

The choir will present a music festival on Saturday September 20 at The Salvation Army, St Giles Street, Norwich at 7pm.  Reserved tickets for the balcony price £5, or for the ground floor at £7.50 and £5, can be ordered from Martin Baker: songsters@norwichcitadel.org.uk

The choir will also be conducting Sunday worship meetings at St Giles Street at 10.30am and 4pm.

Pianist and composer Charles Timberlake will be giving an informal lunchtime recital in Norwich Cathedral on Saturday August 2 from 11.30 am to 1.30 pm.

Charles has produced seven CD albums of inspirational piano and instrumental music, the last five in collaboration with composer John Daniels. Their latest recording, Only In Your Eyes, was released in March. Their music is regularly featured on Radio 2’s Good Morning Sunday programme with Aled Jones.

Charles’ music touches the heart and soul and brings a sense of peace and calmness to the listener. This will be his first recital in Norwich, a city he loves and which is very important and significant for him spiritually.

For the first hour on August 2, Charles will be playing his own compositions; the second hour will consist of arrangements of worship songs and popular ballads, all played in his own inimitable style. Visitors to the Cathedral will be treated to music to move, to calm, to inspire and to uplift.
