Joan Woodyer

Angola, with its troubled history of war and challenging future of redressing imbalance, is not the easiest place in the world to live. For the poor, life can obviously be even more challenging. This week the BMS website features reflections from Joan Woodyer, a BMS worker based in Angola, on how ordinary Angolans have been praying for peace over their country's recent elections, and how those prayers have been powerful and effective

Also on the website this week: your chance to win a Spring Harvest CD, details of a beautiful new BMS calendar, information on serving God in another culture, news of work with people living with disabilities in Nepal and, for those planning their Christmas services, BMS celebrates the birth of the Saviour with Israelis and Palestinians, in Bethlehem
