Happy New Year to All our Supporters of the
Gt.
Yarmouth
College Chaplaincy
The Autumn Term has had its own share of challenges:
Supporting bereaved staff and students - organising and leading a memorial service for one of our young students - leading a session with students dealing with grief - supporting and leading sessions with the Young Parents Project - leading prayer sessions with staff and Bible studies with students - supporting the Learner Mentor in Construction - attending Diversity meetings - supporting students from a variety of backgrounds through 121 and befriending.
The introduction of the Good News Fortnight during November introduced the Chaplaincy to several
groups of students and the offer of a free Bible (thanks for the support from the Gideon’s organisation and representative who supplied the Bibles).
A busy term indeed!!!! along with organising Black History Month, a Creation
tutorial session to a group of Animal Care Students, World Café day for ESOL students and attending a two day course on bereavement in Scarborough. A packed Carol Service helped bring the term to a close.
I am personally thankful for those who are in prayer for the work of the Chaplaincy. That prayer I know has been answered with many opportunities to support staff and students across the College usually in difficult times. Without God’s strength this work would be hopeless and fruitless but with God’s hand upon us we can go forward knowing He is faithful and will honour His own name.

The new SPRING term again offers us the opportunity to see God at work at the College
and in our Churches.
The Chaplaincy is funded jointly by the College and local churches. We would like to introduce more churches to the work of the Chaplaincy at
Great
Yarmouth
College .
With the commencement of the new building works at College for the next four years this is the time to look at our funding for the Chaplaincy with a view to a full-time Chaplaincy in the future.
Thank you for your support and prayers.
