Tribute to Chris Warner from Eastern Synod
It is with great sadness that I let you know the sad news of the death of the Revd Chris Warner. Ordained in 1980, Chris is well known for his exciting and excited approach to ministry. He was a great innovator and often, and in many ways, challenged us all. His great love was Industrial Mission and, down the years, that was the biggest chunk of his ministry
That he chose such a challenged sphere speaks volumes. Since 2006 he had combined the Industrial Mission role with a post as team leader in the Norwich Team of United Reformed Churches. His wise approach was much valued. In these last months of illness Chris had discovered a renewal of his devotional life which meant a great deal to him - and many of us valued the opportunity to share with him in prayer
Chris will be much missed across a wide sphere. Please remember, at this time, his wife Kath and their two sons, Peter and Nicholas. Also please remember the wider family, including nephew Revd Nigel Warner, minister at Braintree, as well as the congregations of the Norwich churches and colleagues and contacts in the Industrial Mission sphere
