Answering the “God questions” some don't dare to ask

Are you interested in discovering more about God? More about the Christian faith? Have you got questions about God that you have always been too afraid to ask?

If “yes” then Youth Alpha could be the thing for you.

On Monday evening over the next few months Unite will running a Youth Alpha course for young people from across the borough. It will run from 19:00 – 21:00 at Magdalen Way Methodist Church in Gorleston. Youth Alpha provides a great opportunity for young people to discover who God is in a non-threatening environment. Each session will include the following;

Food - One of the key ingredients of any good Youth Alpha session is food – eating together is a great chance to chat and get to know each other better. Doughnuts, desserts, hot chocolate and more goodies will feature during each session

Fun - We won't just be sitting around talking and answering difficult questions we shall always try to do some pretty mad and fun stuff too. Perhaps sticky tape wars or jelly baby spitting. Just enough to get the adrenaline pumping and those barriers broken down

Talk - When we say talk, we mean discussions really. It won't just be a case of sitting down listening, far from it - there will be lots of opportunities to get stuck into activities, to discuss issues, watch videos, we might even do something creative at times. Each session will have theme that we will be looking at: “Who is Jesus?” or “What is Prayer?” or “Who is the Holy Spirit” and so much more

Small groups - Everyone attending a course will be put in a small group. This is one of the most important parts of Youth Alpha. They are a chance to discuss the talk and raise any questions or thoughts. NO QUESTION IS TOO SIMPLE, TOO SILLY OR TOO HOSTILE – all opinions are welcome.
Away day - One of the highlights of the course for many is the away day. The teaching content on this day will be about the person and work of the Holy Spirit

The course is open to any young people from across the borough. Both Christians and those exploring Christianity are very welcome to come along. There is no charge and no need to book in. However, if you can tip us off by calling or emailing the office that would be a great help

If you can't make Monday nights but you still want to attend don't panic - Kings Church is leading a course on Tuesday nights starting on the 15th September, you can call Nick on 442861 for the Kings course
