· Be involved in tutorial programmes where teachers can draw on the experience and personal aptitudes of the chaplain in helping to deliver the programme
· Be fully involved in the induction programme at the start of the academic year.
· Work with and support the Management Committee as they seek to encourage the involvement of the clergy and lay Christians from all denominations in providing a well balanced, ecumenical ministry to the College.
· Foster reciprocal links between local churches and voluntary organisations with the College to explore ways in which they can work together.
· Initiate Chaplaincy activities that have been agreed with the Management Committee, and involve members of the College wherever possible in the development and delivery of services.
· Take the lead in initiating contact with students and staff which will raise awareness of the Chaplaincy and its services. This will be done through regular and proactive contact with the student body in a variety of appropriate settings and through awareness raising events.
· Maintain a welcoming and inviting environment within the space provided by the College.
· Provide reports on the work of the Chaplaincy to the Chaplaincy Management Committee and to supporter churches.
· Engage in advocacy work to assist the Chaplaincy Management Committee in developing the long term viability of the project.
