‘Breathe-Free’ Smoking Cessation Clinic
by Yvonne Hill
There will be a ‘Breathe-Free’ Stop Smoking Clinic carried out in the function room of the Seventh- day Adventist Church, Burnt La ne, Gorleston, NR31 0PG. The programme will be conducted by the health team who have been giving Health Screenings in the Market Gates Shopping Centre at intervals during 2009 and at the beginning of this year.
This is a highly effective plan to stop smoking and is based on a complete lifestyle approach. The programme will take into account the whole person which includes the emotional, mental, physical and spiritual aspects.
These methods have helped 20 million people all over the world and have been thoroughly researched, proven and tested. The Seventh-day Adventist Church pioneered the Five Day Plan to Stop Smoking in 1959, which proved to be very successful. Later, in 1984, a team of experts revised the plan. Between 1987 – 1991 the Loma Linda University Centre for Health Promotion in California (a Seventh-day Adventist institution) tried and evaluated the Breathe-Free programme to stop smoking which proved itself to be more than effective.
If you would like to stop smoking, or know someone who would, then this could be the answer.
