General Election
Election 2010
It seems the MPs’ expenses scandal is finally drawing to a close just months before the next General Election.
As a result, over a quarter of MPs have already announced that they will not seek re-election and by May 2010, new MPs could comprise over half the House of Commons.
This is the time for the Church to let Parliament know that we have a voice and we want to be heard. As new MPs fill the House of Commons, let us, the Church, find out what they really stand for.
In the coming weeks, CCFON will be sending out information on the General Election, as well as setting up a special section on our website. We will also be organising a series of high profile debates throughout the UK, but for this we need your help.
This week, please find out who is seeking election in your area. Find out who the candidates are, a little bit about them, and whether you think any are worth supporting.
We’d love to hear from you, so please do get in touch and let us know if there is someone in your area that is worth backing. Email election2010@ccfon.org.
