Award-winning DJ performing live in Great Yarmouth
Galactus Jack is the award-winning artist that will be giving young people a night to remember in Great Yarmouth on 23rd April. Matt Gooch, Director of Unite youth project, who is organising this once-only performance, explains that “I heard Galactus Jack perform when he was part of the duo Aorta and they were supporting Yfriday. We were given a treat then so when I heard that Galactus Jack was touring and wanted to come to Great Yarmouth I jumped at the chance. It's a name that not many people have heard of but if the reviews are right it is a name that everyone will know soon”. Galactus Jack has just been awarded Best Contemporary Album by the Christian Broadcasting Corporation for his album Reality Bytes.

His music style has already been compared with the household names of the prodigy and Fatboy Slim. Cross Rhythms magazine described his music as “Electro Grunge Magic” when they awarded him 8/10 for his album. They went on to say “With the interplay of the graceful production of raucous sounds, this album is brim full of dance energy and with the addition of a selection of talented guest vocalists it is a work to move your body and stir your soul.”
Louder Than Music website describes him as “Christian Dance Music at its best and not scared to be a bit edgy and in your face with its driving beats” when they awarded him 5/5.
The gig is being organised by Unite youth project and Kings Church, Great Yarmouth and will be open to any young people in the area to attend. In addition to Galactus Jack the gig will include Intensi-t, the country's youngest professional beat-boxer, who will be performing live, along with the 'house DJ'. For those young people left with any energy there will also be a couple of giant inflatables.
“We have run a series of these events over the past few years and they are now really starting to pick up some momentum; it will be well attended but we have plenty of room and would love to see even more people from across the region enjoying what promises to be an incredible and first-class evening” explains Matt.
