Update from BMS World Mission 21/05/10

"Before Wednesday night, I have never feared for my safety in Thailand. But seeing Central World shopping mall burning, and knowing that many other big buildings in town were on fire, was frightening."
The stand-off between the 'red shirt' anti-government protestors and the Thai authorities took a sharp turn for the worse this week, as violence increased, culminating in the announcement of a four-night curfew.
BMS has several workers and partners in Thailand (all of whom are safe), and a number of our current church resources show projects from the country. Please remember the situation in your prayers - get more about what's going on and eyewitness reports by clicking the first link below.
Elsewhere, the FIFA World Cup is a matter of weeks away now, and many churches have this week received a copy of our free DVD resource. A limited number of these are now available - go to the link below for more information.
