Greetings from Thrigby Windmill

Hello again and greetings from Thrigby Windmill

Since our 40th wedding anniversary celebrations in April, things haven’t stopped. Thanks for those who responded with gifts and cards. As the days have got longer, so has our determination to get things done outside

It’s been a crazy few weeks with the family getting under way with Caravans and days away and planning for the holiday season.  Some are going to the River Camp hosted by Elim in Evesham with Heidi Baker and Mark Stibbe in August.  Tricia and I haven’t decided yet

I’ve spent a lot of time working on the boat and looking forward to some time away on her just chilling out and enjoying the wild life and peace that this wonderful area can offer

Tricia has spent much of her time in the gardens potting on the summer plants and filling hanging baskets with delightful plants. It’s going to look awesome in a few weeks. Weeding is quite a chore however and if anyone has an hour to spare please pop in

Tricia and I are amazingly well in spite of a few minor problems and God just keeps under-girding us with his strength and we just keep going.  It seems that every time we share about an ache here or a twinge there and we lift it to the Lord, he listens and seems to do something about it

We never try to cover things up between us, and act as if there were no problems, no it’s more like we share our ouches and and twinges and dear old Holy Spirit does something amazing and we just praise him

Scripture tells us that God meets us at our point of faith and I guess that’s where we are together and with him and it seems to work.  Try it yourselves.  We know that light has nothing to do with darkness, so any root of darkness can’t hang around once the light of truth is poured on to a problem. It seems to work with our health, and we know we have a covenant keeping God

The other thing I want to share with you is that God told me years ago to practice his presence. That word has grown stronger and stronger in me and hardly an hour goes by even in a busy day when I `don’t talk to Him and welcome His presence in my life, or I speak a word of encouragement and blessing to Him.  When He knows He is so welcome it’s hardly surprising that good and Godly things are happening around you

Do the tests still keep coming? Yes they do, but God allows the tests to develop our character, spiritual boldness and authority in the unseen realm. Remember Jesus asleep in the back of the boat? You only have authority over the storm you can sleep through
