“Something for the grown-ups” - and not just cake
People often say to me that the vision of Unite is a big one, possibly even too big, to “Reach Every Young Person in the East of Norfolk”. Well, it is big but it is only part of the massive vision of Youth For Christ nationally
Unite is a part of Youth For Christ, an international organisation that has a further 66 local centres across the UK. Gavin Calver is the national director and it is he who has the bigger vision, with a target of reaching 1 million people every month. This, research says, can affect a whole generation
We have the privilege of having Gavin come to Norfolk to spend an evening with us on the 14 th November at the first of our new twice-yearly event; “Something For The Adults”. Gavin will be sharing his heart of reaching and changing a generation. He will also be sharing stories of young peoples’ lives being transformed by the Gospel throughout this country. Gavin is an ordained Baptist minister, the author of several books, a regular speaker and is sure to provide us with both a fascinating and challenging evening
In addition to Gavin, the Unite worship band will be leading us in some worship and Unite will be presenting its brand new, very exciting strategy regarding how they are going to play their part in reaching that 1 million. If that isn't enough there will be free cake too!!!!!
