Another great evening of prayer for revival for Great Yarmouth

 

Our latest Great Yarmouth 'Prayer for Revival' meeting took place last Monday 4^th April. Again we met at Park Baptist Church, to whom we are very grateful

 

Eleven different churches were represented, including many of the leaders from those churches, which was very encouraging. Our prayer is that many others will join us at our next meeting next month

 

The meeting began with an excellent time of praise and worship. We had provisionally planned for singing four songs, but that time was extended as we were clearly taken along by the presence of the Holy Spirit

 

We once again showed the short video of the prophecy from Alabama with regard to revival in our area. This we did for the benefit of those who had not seen it before. Having then read some more excerpts from 'A Forgotten Revival' by Stanley Griffin, which relates the revival that occurred in Great Yarmouth in 1921, we began the evenings praying with the theme of 'Do it again, Lord!'

 

Dave Weeks, Pastor of City Church Great Yarmouth, led the evening through. Derrick Hill of Park Baptist, and Andy Moss of Kings Church also participated in the meeting by introducing certain aspects of revival which we then prayed for

 

Whilst in small groups, which consisted of individuals from different churches, everyone was encouraged to pray for God's blessing on each other’s churches. Two vital ingredients for Revival are unity and prayer. Just think what God will do if all the churches in the Borough came together to pray!

 

The evening concluded with the theme 'Revival begins with us'. Dave Weeks made a call for commitment and holiness, essential ingredients in revival. The question was asked 'Are we ready for the cost of revival?' Following a time when we were encouraged to search our hearts, a time was given to pray for any individuals who wanted a touch from God. Many responded to this and God touched many in a powerful way as they were prayed for

 

The next 'Prayer for Revival' meeting is 7.30pm on Monday May 9^th, again at Park Baptist Church. Put the date in your diaries now, and encourage as many as you can to come along
