As William, Katherine and the Palace were making their preparations for the wedding of the century; preparations were also ta king place to watch the Royal Wedding at the Vicarage of St Mary Magdalene Church.
The guests were requested to come dressed as they would for a wedding, and to bring a plate of food. The ladies arrived looking very nice in their wedding finery and the gentlemen came in smart suits and some with bow ties.
The host, Rev Linda Ricketts, handed out a floral corsage and greeted her guests warmly. A large television was set up in Linda’s living room with rows of seating for her guests to watch the Royal Wedding in comfort. The order of service was handed around and also a glass of Shloer grape juice.
It was almost li ke being at Westminster! The atmosphere was filled with excitement and anticipation as they waited for the great moment.
The young prince arrived dressed in his regimental uniform of crimson trimmed with gold. He looked very handsome and the ladies had plenty to say in admiration!
A little princess came into Linda’s living room totally stealing the show. It was baby Amelia and her mother.
As the queen arrived dressed in yellow, the room was filled with chatter regarding her outfit. The bridesmaids arrived looking amazing in ballerina length Champagne silk dresses and the Matron of Honour looked very elegant in her Ivory gown.
The bride arrived on the arm of a very proud father. Catherine wore an amazing gown trimmed with Chantilly lace. I felt a lump in my throat, I am sure all the other ladies felt the same.
During the first hymn of the service glasses of wine were handed around to toast and wish the young Prince and Princess the very b est of health and happiness.
The guests enjoyed a wonderful wedding breakfast buffet. Many thanks go to Linda for her hard work and amazing hospitality.

Thank you Linda!
