Pray for Schools fortnight event at St Nicholas' Church

 

 

 

 

On Friday, 54 children from local primary and infant schools went to St Nicholas' Church as part of Pray for Schools fortnight. They were welcomed by Father Andrew who told them that many people had been busy praying for their schools

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The children had seven prayer activities to choose from, including lighting a candle for someone, dropping a pebble into a heart shaped pool and writing a sorry prayer in sand and then wiping the sand clean 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The afternoon was finished with a short service where all sang a fun song about God's love reaching higher than space ships! Then the children and a bubble machine sent thousands of bubbles into the church like thousands of prayers bubbling on their way to God

 

The children, some with their parents or grandparents, and the adults too, had a wonderful time and hope that there will be similar events in the future
