5th Anniversary of Portuguese Congregation

 

On Saturday 8^th October 60 people gathered at Park Baptist Church for a bilingual service to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the Portuguese congregation. A presentation of events in the life of the congregation over the last five years showed vividly how people have been helped and encouraged in their faith. The occasion provided a great opportunity to express gratitude to God through music, prayers and readings

 

Revd Leda Schofield from Park led the service, while Revd Daniel Clark from Ashford brought the address, emphasising the difference Jesus can make in people’s lives today. Revd Derrick Hill, the senior minister from Park, reminded the English and Portuguese speakers present that though there are two linguistically diverse congregations at Park, they form one united church
