On the 18th December the Salvation Army took part in a carol singing event to beat the Guiness Book of Records of 15,000 around the country.  The object was to sing in unison at the same time for 15minutes.  The full story is linked to this page.  The count so far is 18, 414 which smashes the previous previous records

The Guinness Book of Records usually takes  6-9 months to verify the final count of Carol singers.  Also they have to check all of the supporting video / camera footage.  Once this has been done each church will receive a certificate.
