First Prayer for Revival Meeting in 2012
On Monday 9thJanuary we held our first Prayer for Revival meeting of the new year. There was a very good turnout. Worship was led by Tony Greene from King's with Richard Ferarri from City Church in support
Dave Weeks then shared how he felt God had spoken to him with regards to the prayers that had been prayed in our meetings throughout 2011. He believed God was assuring him that He had heard all our prayers and the answers were on the way! Dave shared from Rev 5v8 that the prayers of the saints, not just throughout the last year, but for decades before were the incense in the golden bowls which were always before the Lord and a sweet smell to His nostrils. He then mentioned 1 John 5:15 which says...And if we know that he hears us –whatever we ask – we know that we have what we asked of him
There were about 10 leaders from various churches at the meeting. Some time was spent praying for each one for wisdom and God's leading and empowering for what He is going tobring us in to. Following this, these leaders publicly agreed to honour one another, to talk well of each other and to nip in the bud any negative comments that they may hear others making. It was acknowledged that we may all do things differently, but that our hearts were united in seeing the Kingdom of God built in our Borough and across the region
Following this, everyone got into small groups and prayed for each other's churches, that God will bless them abundantly. Some time was also spent praying for churches that were not represented at the meeting, that God will pour out His blessing on them
Our next Prayer for Revival meeting will be on Monday 6th February at 7.30pm
again at
Park Baptist Church, 14A Crown Road, Great Yarmouth, NR30 2JN
