Fish and Chip supper at the GY Seafarers Centre 

The Mayor  and Mayoress, Councillor Malcolm and Mrs Donna Bird,, along with their grandchildren, attended a fish and chip supper at the Great Yarmouth Seafarers Centre

Around twenty volunteers and directors   welcomed His Worship the Mayor and Lady Mayoress with their two grandchildren to an evening of getting to know all about the Seafarers Centre, what we do, who we are there for, and combined with this, a wonderful fish and chip supper to enjoy

His worship was shown around the building by Rev Peter Paine, Port Chaplain, who explained how the building was turned around to what it is now and looked at the work that still needs to be done

An invitation was given to the Mayor at the Maritime Festival to spend more time at the centre

The Mayor commented "it is vital for the centre to be here for the many seafarers who come through our port"

A wonderful time was had by all
