Prophetic Bible school runs in Norfolk
Former Bible lecturer and Police Officer Richard George is now leading the Cornerstone School of Prophetic Ministry in Norfolk.
Q Richard tell me a little of your background. A I am a former lecturer at Kingdom Faith Bible College and am currently Director of The Way of the Spirit and pastor of Cornerstone church, Norwich. Before entering the Christian ministry in 1994 I was a City of London Police Officer for 18 years.
Q What is Cornerstone School of Prophetic Ministry.
A It’s a part-time, Norwich-based school for ‘equipping the saints for works of service’, according to Ephesians 4.12. It’s for anyone who is called to be trained to serve God – in whatever capacity. The teaching is from the Word, anointed by the Holy Spirit. We teach faith and kingdom principles, believing that God is raising up an army of end-time saints to be Christ’s body in the world!
Q What do you mean by the term ‘prophetic ministry’?
A We’re using the term ‘prophetic’ in its widest sense – this isn’t a school just for prophets! Rather it is in the sense that the whole church is called to be prophetic in nature (see Acts 3.25 and come along to the school to find out more about this).
Q I see you were trained at King’s College London as well as Kingdom Faith Ministries, is this therefore an academic course?
A Definitely not. There are no exams, though we expect students to be learning to outwork what they learn, so there is plenty of interaction. As they grow we expect them to be released into what God has called them to. It is a school that aims to impart the life of God, to build faith from the word and, in a season set aside for God, allow him to direct them into whatever way he wants. Each teacher in the school draws on their own anointing and experience in God. My wife and I were trained in ministry during many years at Kingdom Faith Ministries in Roffey, West Sussex under Pastor Colin Urquhart, Rev Dr John McKay and others.
Q Do students become part of your church while they are on the course?
A No. The school is for ‘saints’ from any church, and we fully expect them to remain in their churches, taking back each week whatever God puts in them. Each person will need their application for the school endorsed by their minister/pastor/vicar.
Q What commitment is required from students?
A There are three ways of doing the course, involving different permutations of one full day a week (Fridays), a weekday evening (Wednesday) and monthly Saturday teaching days.
