Grant funding on offer to Norfolk groups
Two funding bodies are offering grant opportunities to community and Christian groups in Norfolk.
The Bishop of Norwich’s Community Fund, part of the Norfolk Community Foundation, will award grants of up around £300 to voluntary and community groups addressing real need within their local communities throughout Norfolk, with a preference given to those with a Christian foundation and ethos.
In March the Foundation is delivering the Local Giving Fund which will offer grants of up to £2,000 to voluntary and community groups working all over Norfolk.
The deadline for both is Friday February 2, 2007. A Grant Application Pack, incorporating policy, guidelines and notes on how to fill in the form, is available to download from the website; www.norfolkfoundation.com, as is further information on the funds available.
Alternatively you can ring Jo Beauchamp, Grants Officer, Norfolk Community Foundation, Tel: 01603 882372.
Awards for All, the National Lottery small grants programme, is holding a series of briefings around East Anglia on its grant programme which offers funding from £300 to £10,000.
Briefings are being held in Diss on Thursday, January 11, (2pm to 3.30pm) and in King’s Lynn on Wednesday, January 31 (2pm to 3.30pm).
Awards for All will fund projects that can be completed within 12 months and organisations can receive up to £10,000 in any two-year period.
Activities such as art, sport, heritage, education, environment, health and others that benefit the local community may be funded.
Awards for All can fund not-for-profit groups, parish or town councils, schools and health bodies.
