Gospel choir to rock Minster during Yarmouth festival

Happy Day Gospel Choir AT
Gospel choir to rock Minster in Yarmouth festival

The Happy Day Gospel Choir will be performing  at the town's Minster as part of the Great Yarmouth Arts Festival

The concert will take place at Great Yarmouth Minster on Tuesday September 26 at 7.30pm. The choir will be performing a range of songs, from gospel classics like Oh Happy Day to older traditional songs such as Down by the Riverside. They will also be showcasing some of their own versions of songs such as a latin-feel version of the Mary Mary song Shackles. Singing and dancing in the audience will be welcomed!

The Happy Day Gospel Choir was formed in 2011 by LoLo Wynans and Andy Hudson for the purpose of taking part in just one concert. Twelve years later they are still going strong, and travel round Norfolk performing and raising money for charity

The choir is performing as part of the Great Yarmouth Arts Festival, which runs from September 22 – 30. The festival is an annual celebration of all forms of art and includes a carnival procession. A number of the events take place at Great Yarmouth Minster, including an art exhibition throughout the week
