“Churches and Christian organisations are always great on passion and drive,” said Spirals commercial director David Elverson. “But quite often better planning, management and general business skills could help to really improve the effectiveness of all of the hard work.” “But quite often better planning, management and general business skills could help to really improve the effectiveness of all of the hard work.”
This accredited qualification is fully funded by European money and gives churches and other Christian organisations the chance to receive high quality management development training designed specifically for those working in voluntary and community organisations.
“This training normally costs £1200 and it is therefore a great opportunity to receive the sort of training that church and small charity budgets can rarely stretch to,” said David. “The funding covers anyone working or living in Norfolk working for voluntary and community organisations such as churches and charities.
“T he course is great for anyone who will benefit from understanding how effective management skills can be implemented into their work areas; especially church leaders, youth workers, managers of charitable organisations and anyone wanting to progress into a management role in the future.”
The qualification is made up of four units. Each unit consists of a one-day workshop followed by a half day Action Learning Set. There are no exams and your progress will be assessed by writing short reports and preparing some presentations.
