Hoolio and Adapt Hit Great Yarmouth

Take a fresh, versatile MC, team him up with a slick, turntablistic DJ and make room for some seriously heavy urban flavas!

Hoolio & Adapt were last seen in the region as an acclaimed part of 2006's Reality event.  Now they are being brought back to East Anglia on 13th April by Unite, a brand new Youth For Christ centre in East Norfolk.  The evening will consist of live music, games, a local live band and a theme of, 'How God uses ordinary people.'

Tim Owen from the Tribe / Genetik says that Hoolio and Ad-Apt are, “One of the best MC and DJ combinations I Know! They've delivered the goods time after time from inner city youth clubs to main stage at the Manchester Apollo”

After spending just over three years as an original member in thebandwithnoname, Ad-Apt(formerly known as Presha) has teamed up with DJ turntablist Hoolio and continues to bring an extra large serving of crowd hype, beatboxing and tight lyrical flows. With two thebandwithnoname albums under his belt and his name on various other albums as a featured guest, Ad-Apt has continued to deliver his vibrant MC style on a wide range of musical genres.

Hoolio is a fine example of a slick DJ!  He has performed internationally alongside some well-respected acts and has gained a high profile amongst the industry.  When behind the turntables, Hoolio brings the smoothest arrangement of mixing, scratching and cutting over the best urban tracks ever made.

Hoolio & Ad-Apt have already gained recognition for their unique live performance, incorporating human beatbox, scratching, party hiphop beats and MCing into a show bursting with energy and hype.

This is the first of many events Unite will be hosting and they are aiming to start off with a bang!  At only £2.50 entry the evening should be well worth a look for any youth groups in the area.

The evening begins at 8pm on Friday 13th April, and will be held in Kings Church in Great Yarmouth, NR31 0LE.  For more details please call organiser Matt Gooch on 07747 471219.
