Jonathan Veira looking forward to returning to Norfolk

JV 3The singer and entertainer Jonathan Veira says he is really looking forward to coming back to Norfolk and performing with his three sons. Best known for his appearances on BBC’s Songs of Praise and in demand as an opera singer in comedy roles around the world he will bring his own brand of fun, faith, and wide range of musical styles to Gorleston Pavilion Theatre on Saturday April 5th
The evening is being presented by Gorleston’s Cliff Park Community Church who hosted the singer at their home, Cliff Park Junior School, in December 2012. He also appeared in Norwich earlier that same year at the Salvation Army Citadel
“It is the warmth of the people which always strikes me in this part of the world and I am so looking forward to introducing my sons to everyone. It will be such a great evening.” Jonathan said this week. He regularly performs with talented sons Matt, Dan, and Nick: “There is a completely different dynamic with the boys. The focus isn't solely on me - they all support me so well and they all enjoy their own moments to shine. They don’t let me get away with anything though – they tease me mercilessly!”
While continuing with his classical work – last month he recorded a new opera CD – he has devoted more time recently to his stage show which he’s performed for 30 years. “I was having fun doing them! I love travelling around the country meeting people and making them laugh.  This year is going really well. We’ve had some great events with lots of enthusiasm from the organisers and audiences”
The organisers say tickets have been selling very steadily but there are still some available. Any profits, together with a bucket collection at the end of the concert will go towards the Great Yarmouth Food Bank project which is run by local churches

Jonathan Veira and Sons is at Gorleston Pavilion Theatre on Saturday April 5th
