Public Worship Suspended in Great Yarmouth Parish

27th March 2020

In accordance with the Archbishop’s recommendation, all public worship in the Parish of Great Yarmouth has been suspended until further notice. This means there will be no public services in Great Yarmouth Minster, St Paul’s, or St Mary’s on Sundays or weekdays
This will be a great sadness to many for whom the rhythm of prayer, singing God’s praise and sharing the sacrament of Holy Communion is a natural part of their life. So things will be different in coming weeks
The Minster will remain open on weekdays 9am-11am. It’s open for everyone. Please feel able to come in and light and candle, say a prayer or take some time to pause and think; it’s what this amazing building is for
The Ministry Team will endeavour to keep in touch with church members in the coming weeks by phone or email. We’ll send out messages and prayers and invite you to watch videos of worship or reflections online. Remember that the church is the people not the building – it’s just going to be different for a while. I encourage you to persist in prayer and creatively show love and kindness to all
If you are in isolation and want the Ministry Team to keep in touch please make sure we have your phone / email: Either message via our Facebook page, email or phone the church office (01493 858410)
