MATTHEW PRICE 04-2021Reverend Matthew Price
Vicar, St Mary Magdalene Church, Gorleston

Hundreds of pancakes, games, and crafts were the order of the day at St Mary Magdalene on Tuesday 1st March, otherwise known as Shrove Tuesday. Over the course of just under two hours, almost 200 people passed through the church and church hall for our community pancake party

Brian Philpot wielded the pancake pans, making somewhere in the region of 300 pancakes, and those who attended were also able to decorate their own rice-cake versions of pancakes, make salt-dough animals, and take part in a pancake tossing competition and pancake obstacle course. A great time seemed to have been had by all who attended and my grateful thanks go to everyone who made the event happen!
