Invitation from newday

new day logoHello from the newday team! We would like to invite you to find out more about newday and how we can serve the youth and churches in the local area

newday is a Christian event for young people, held each year at the Norfolk showground near Norwich during the school summer holiday; this year running from 3-9 August. Initiated by the Newfrontiers group of churches, newday is now in its twelfth year. The event has now established its own identity and aims to encourage young people to love and follow Jesus in their lives

newday is open to young people from any church stream who come to visit in groups with their youth leaders. Groups either camp on site or purchase day visitor tickets. The site is laid out in camping zones with a team overseeing each zone in order to give help and support. Each zone has a couple of toilet/shower blocks, including some accessible facilities

A typical day at newday includes morning meetings with age-appropriate worship, fun and teaching. The afternoon activities include organised sports, games, cafes and specialist seminars. In the evening everyone meets together in our Big Top for a celebration and teaching time

Around 7,000 people attend newday each year, including more than 800 volunteers who are all DBS checked and come to serve the young people. This includes specialist medical and accessibility teams for those who need expert help

There is so much more to newday! This year, as a new venture, we would like to give you the opportunity to join us on site for a session to find out more about the event. We are offering a tour and a chance to experience a taste of newday on the mornings of Wednesday 5th through to Saturday 8th August or an early evening session from Tuesday 4th to Friday 7th August

We are offering a complementary tour (free) for the first two adult representatives from a church or group. They may bring young people with them to enjoy the day at a reduced day rate. Our aim is for the local area to know about and join in what newday can have to offer

To find out more or book a tour please contact Phil and Sue Parker, who are working alongside me to welcome you to newday, on 01508 218692 or 07906837337 or email sue@newdaygeneration.org

If you are not able to attend the event, or just want further information, please contact us and we can speak to you in person about newday, its aims, vision and the practical details. However, if you would like to book your young people into the event this year please contact bookings@newdaygeneration.org, as we’ll be pleased to offer our special introductory prices to churches coming to newday for the first time
