GOD’S PLAN FOR MAN

Dove rightGod made man in His class of being- to fellowship with Him and to be His caretaker on earth.  Genesis 1:26-28, Genesis 2:7-15, Psalms 8:6-9

Man is spirit, soul, and body.  The spirit is that part of us that communicates with God.  The soul communicates with the intellectual world.  It comprises the mind (imagination and memory), the emotions, and the will.  The body communicates with the physical world.  It has to do with the natural senses of sight, touch, hearing, smelling, and taste.  The spirit is the real us.  Man is a spirit; he has a soul and lives in a body. 1Thessalonians 5:23

God and His angels are good spirits; satan and demons are evil spirits.  Men and women have to decide on whose side to be.  Animals do not have spirits, cannot fellowship with God or proceed to the afterworld when they die.  However, they have souls and bodies and God cares for them.  They can feel and have low levels of thinking ability.  Psalms 49:12-15, Ecclesiastes 3:21

dove leftGod spoke everything into existence. Then He formed man from mud and breathed His spirit into him.  God made man like Himself to be the master of all life on earth, in the skies, and in the seas.  Man, His offspring, is to be His friend and co-worker.  But Adam and Eve, our first parents, disobeyed God, became corrupted and lost the nature of God in them. They became spiritually dead and lost fellowship with God even though they remained physically alive for centuries.  Of course, they died physically in the end

However, God immediately began the process of man’s restoration-the plan to send Jesus to suffer and die for the salvation of mankind.  Jesus came to restore us to God so that whoever believes in Jesus will not die spiritually but receive the life of God.  John 3:16

God’s plan is to live in us in His love and power. His man is to extend all the wonderful conditions that existed in the Garden of Eden to the rest of the world. John 13:34-35, Romans 5:5, Revelation 21:3-4

God has a plan for every person.  We step into His plan by receiving Jesus.  Then God begins to work out the plan with our co-operation.  We co-operate with God by obeying His instructions for living in the bible since He is our maker (manufacturer).Jeremiah 29:11

This guarantees our total wellbeing in this world and eternal bliss in the world to come.  Ultimately, evil will be defeated and banished from the world at Jesus’ return and there will be everlasting peace and wonders with God as King.  Revelation 11:15
