Life:  what’s it about?  Where’s my life going?  I’ll get my life together … one day
We may have said this about ourselves and we have certainly heard it from others, but what is Life?

Bearing in mind that the Eskimos have 50 words for 'snow' whilst we have only one, let me point you to the New Testament  where there are three different words for life —Bios, Psyche and Zoe — each is translated for us into English as “life” but each has a very different meaning

Bios, in Luke 8:14: “…anxieties and riches and pleasure of this life.” Bios refers to the life of the physical body and it’s where we get the word biology

Psyche, in  "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life…”

Psyche refers to the psychological life of the human soul, that is, the mind, emotion and will. It is where we get the word psychology
	It’s all about Zoe
When Jesus said in John 10:10 “… but I have come to give you everything in abundance, more than you expect  — life in its fullness until you overflow!”
That is “ZOE” the eternal life that comes through God

When Jesus said in John 3:16 (ANIV) "For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” That is ZOE
John 14:6 “I am the way, the truth and the life.”  That is ZOE

Receiving eternal life is the most miraculous incident in life.  We call it the new birth. Some call it "getting religion," but that's not what it is

It is God imparting His very nature, substance, and being to our human spirits

What God wants is that we human beings would take in His eternal life. By our taking in His life, He becomes our real life and we can express Him through our living

          | This is fantastic! I knew there were different words for love but hadn't really thought about life. Thanks Allan, great to hear this put so clearly. Wonderful stuff; here's to Life - Zoe.
