As I look at the world around us, it seems that there’s a battle raging; a battle of the mind and for our minds. Mind is where thoughts and feelings originate which then lead to actions

Paul writes:
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will”
Romans 12:2, NIVUK

Therefore, fortifying our mind DAILY is essential

For me this means, in no particular order:

- Focusing on promises of God and the way He lead me and other people in the past. Daily Bible reading and prayer life are key;

Healthy body = healthy mind
Things like right nutrition, adequate rest, pure water, exercise, fresh air, clean living are very important;

- Forgive those who wronged you as your Father in heaven forgave you.  Wish them well and pray for them, and as far as it depends on you live in peace with everyone, however accept what is beyond your control. Also, forgiveness doesn’t mean going back to or staying in abusive relationships;

- Be careful what you feed your mind on - what you watch, read, and listen to. All that has powerful influence on your mind and can either draw you closer to God or away from Him;

-Have attitude of gratitude - train your mind to notice things to be thankful for. Don’t lose your blessings by counting your troubles;

-Do good things for others without expecting anything in return;

- Take time to disconnect from devices and be in nature - and give glory to God who made it;

-Do not compare yourself to others - you’re wonderfully and fearfully made. God has given you unique set of talents and is leading you step by step to fulfil His perfect purpose for your life - to lead you to accept His salvation and eternal life

I’m speaking to myself as much as to anyone else. It’s a lifelong work in progress. May God help us to transform and renew our minds as we journey to our Heavenly home
