God of Miracles
Having just returned from a 3 week mission trip to Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Malawi I was privileged to see God doing miracles in people’s lives. Do we believe that God does miracles? I can certainly testify that he does. The bible says that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever ( Hebrews 13 v 8). As we read the bible we see that Jesus did miracles everywhere that he went. The blind saw, the deaf heard and the lame walked. Nothing was impossible for him
Maybe we are facing impossible situations in our lives. Do we believe that God can do a miracle for us? God doesn’t always answer in the way that we would like, but he always answers in the way that he sees best and even when things don’t work out how we hoped, he promised to never leave us and we can experience his strength and peace surrounding us
During the course of the meetings I saw one lady who testified to having had stabbing pains in her legs for the past 3 years but after prayer she said that all the pain had gone and she was crying with relief and worshiping God. Another lady had experienced a breakdown where she couldn’t even remember her name or anything about her life but after prayer, she immediately came back into her right mind and could remember everything; her mum came forward crying because of the healing of her daughter and they both began to praise God. Another lady had been experiencing bleeding for the past 10 months after having a baby but after prayer she came to testify that all the bleeding had now stopped. These are just a few of the things that we saw God doing on this trip
We also had time to go on a Safari in Zambia which was an amazing experience and saw an elephant with a baby up close to the jeep – seeing Gods creation with our own eyes. If we want to see miracles, sometimes we just need to look around us at the amazing creation especially living in this beautiful part of the country
I want to encourage you that God is still a God of miracles with the greatest miracle being forgiveness of our past and a new life and ultimately eternal life through what Jesus has done at the cross. Will you reach out to him today and give him whatever has been burdening you and believing for him to answer and do a miracle in your life?
